LATEST SATELLITE STATUS
The latest status of satellites operated by CGMS Members is maintained in published tables. The tables are kept up-to-date by the WMO Space Programme on behalf of CGMS. The current status of the space segment is described along with the plans for future satellites.
The tables separately record information for satellites in geostationary orbit, those in low-earth orbit and those R&D satellites which already contribute - or have the potential to contribute - to the space-based component of the Global Observing System (GOS). Satellite launch dates, orbital characteristics, payload and operational status are all included.
Where appropriate table elements are set up as hyperlinks enabling navigation to more detailed information about the satellite and its payload from the relevant authority.
